IMPORTED by Emma Maxwell, London.

Wakil Aljassimya was bred by Aljassimya Farm and was foaled in California under the care of Bart Van Buggenhout. He came to the UK as a weanling. Now five years old Wakil is a very balanced combination of Ariela, WH Justice and Wayne Newton bloodlines, all chosen with care by Aljassimya Farm.-The word most people use about him when he walks around the corner is “fairytale”.  Look again and you see he is 15’2” plus, with the balance and the substance to make him up to carrying a full-size rider. He is also a sweet-natured horse who does not fret if he is left as the last horse in the barn..   He has just started his breeding career, producing some of the prettiest babies around. Despite being out of a range of bloodlines, they all show quite a strong resemblance to him as a baby (he was born black with an asymmetric star). I will keep adding pictures of his 2022 foals as they arrive, it is great to see people with foals on the ground are breeding to him again!

Here is a comment from the breeder of his most recent filly:

“All good 😊. She is stunning! Attitude , grey and I can not believe our luck. He ears are really “curly” which is def not mum. There are definitely similarities between the babies. ( at least what you can see on Facebook 🙄). I forgot how nice it is to have a new baby. 😀”

Wakil’s 2022 daughter Walena  was presented at the UKIAHS show in August winning unanimous Gold Champion Foal. She is is owned and bred by Gregor Aymar and Miles Buckley who stood Wakil at Stud in 2021 and 2022 at MBST.

Thank you to everyone expecting foals in 2023. Gregor Aymar. Sue Bundy. Christine Blyth. Clare Chillingworth. Albert Cozens. Jo Davis. Elvis Guighera. Rob Heijmans. Lisa Kelly. Julie Kennedy. Edwina Pritchard. Marieta Salas. Andre Taylor.

Wakil is now in Mallorca on lease to  Shiodome where he will breed some of the amazing mares owned by Philip Looyens and Antonia Bautista.

Breedings will be available for the first time throughout Europe.
